Alice had been returning from her class with her books, casually walking down the hallway. She had turned to open her locker when she was met in the face with someone else's. In a sudden bout of pain, she dropped her books and held her hands to her forehead as she groaned in annoyance.
The sound of books landing on the ground drew Mei's attention. She whirled around and--oh. "Oh, jeez," she muttered, closing her locker and crouching down to help the girl pick up her books. "Uh, are you okay? Sorry about that.
Mei narrowed her eyes. "Well, it's not like I purposely hit you or anything." She reopened her locker to file some books in and take others out. "No need to grumble over something like that," she muttered to herself, rolling her eyes.
"When you hit in the face with a locker, come back and tell me that," she shot back. She turned to her locker and input the code to open it, and then put her books inside. She grabbed her messenger bag from inside the locker so she could go out for lunch.
Mei raised an eyebrow. As this person was still next to her, Mei launched her locker open once more. It nearly hit that girl--the locker was merely an inch away. Mei smirked at her before closing her locker again.
After concluding a cheerful conversation with Wilson, Alice continued walking through the cafeteria looking for an empty seat. Unfortunately, the only one was near Mei. Her smile immediately dropped as she pulled out a chair and sat down.
Two people Mei recognised entered the cafeteria. The first was Wilson who waved at her as he made his way to her table. The second was Locker Girl (as Mei decided to call her). She decided to ignore Locker Girl as Wilson sat down. "And I thought I was the slowpoke," Mei commented.
A devilish grin crept up her face. "Well, you know that girl sitting at the next table? The one behind you? No--don't turn around--" Mei let out an exasperated sigh as Wilson turned and looked at Locker Girl.
She crossed her legs as she began picking at bulgogi with her chopsticks. Alice had always liked Korean barbecue, so when a new place not too far from the Academy opened up, she was hyped. Unfortunate for her, this barbecue place wasn't very good. Even the kimchi tasted weird.
Mei silently continued eating her spaghetti before it got cold. She peered at Alice. Mei had a feeling she would bump into Alice often, considering their lockers were next to each other. She gritted her teeth.
Mei checked the time on her phone. "Nearly class time. I'm out." Mei picked up her empty plate as she prepared to put it away. "Later, Will. And... I hope you're not a water Elemental," she commented, looking at Alice.
