Three leads have been discovered in the investigation into Christina's death - the fact that the witness was a Lunar Royal, the fact that their name had been erased - more or likely due to signing a non-disclosure agreement and the given co-ordinates to Christina's belongings.
For the team who are trying to locate Christina's belongings.
I walked into the room. "I do apologize for the mess those boys made, they can't seem to get a mature handle on themselves." I turn to Derren. "We're here to ask some questions. Mind giving us some of your time?"
She shouldered her way into the center of the room as she turned to Derren, "You look like a nice guy, but I think my sister didn't ask her question properly. We have to ask you some questions and we need them right now. Hope you don't mind." She then turned to face Jax and mouthed a Nice to meet you... followed by a simply yet graceful smile.
"Thank you for the concern, Nathaniel. I appreciate it." He then turned to the girls, feeling mixed emotions but a little calm at Genevieve's presence. He responded calmly. "Sure." He replied. However, a part of him was suspicious.
"On the day, I was in my dorm room, as I was too ill to attend class." He couldn't hold the secret anymore. "I'm really not the type of person to keep dark secrets like these. I don't want to be immoral and lie to you, so I'll say it now. I tried to protect her - but I can't do it anymore. The witness you're looking for is Erraline. She told me everything that happened that day, but what she told me is all I know. She may have more information. But I feel that she is going to be harder to get information from, because she is insistent on keeping secrets. Wow, I feel like I betrayed her."
I nod carefully and write some things down. "Do you mind telling us what she told you? If you need a moment to collect your thoughts, take your time." I say carefully, as I could see you were in some sort of pain.
He sighed. "I might as well. According to her, she arrived to the Lunar Classroom before the teacher, Mr Maverick. There, she found Christina's corpse, knife in back. When she inspected the corpse closely, she found that there was a throat wound as well, and a small note left behind that said 'It's a shame, you had potential'. She was in shock before she could do anything. That's all I know really."
I had decided to head back to the office, and look over the file again, comparing it to the evidence that Derren gave me, while tapping into the interview with Erraline.
Erraline matched the description of a Lunar Royal and she revealed that she had been made to sign a non-disclosure agreement. However, she also gave hints towards who the murderer could be. But there were setbacks - she did not see the person physically and there was still the mystery of the belongings. Luckily, the investigator was able to solve the latter.
The investigator walked into the classroom, shocked. "These...belongings. The robe and the necklace...they belong to assassins. I've seen this type of robe and necklace before. This means that Christina was an assassin. It explains her mysteriousness."
"Great, we're dealing with assassins. Just kill me now," Seung muttered into his fist. "So, just to be sure these are Christina's belongings, shouldn't we analyze them? See if we find any of her DNA on it. For all we know, the murderer or whoever's running this may have switched out her belongings for something identically alike to set us off track."
"That would be logical, so yes. I'm sure there is a lab in Elementrium that we can use for the analysis." The investigator replied, just as he found remnants of a blood stain on the robe. "Looks like the analysis will be a lot easier."
"Sure. Miss Dange confirmed her brother's statement, so we know that what he said is true. But, that's not the important part. The important part is that we've found another breakthrough, after the belongings."
"Yeah, you can go." He then turned back to Gen. "No. But Erraline did mention that she "encountered" the killer, some time later. They were masked, so she was unable to describe them, but she was able to tell us that from the killer's accent and from what they told her, they were Irish, a dropout of the Academy and the person also responsible for the note left behind. They told Erraline not to say anything, or she would be threatened with death, so that was the whole reasoning behind the non-disclosure agreement. So basically, we're closer to finding out who the killer is."
He had blended into the shadows, not really up for conversation but as he heard this info he materialized, "could she get a read of an age? Most voices can give some sort of reading. I wouldn't think someone at the age 50 would sound like someone who's in their twenties. If they're a drop out and we can get a reading of their age then it narrows down the list of possibilities. Someone could look in the school records–there can't be that many Irish dropouts in here."
Her eyes glittering, she sauntered into the room just as Seung left, hearing a good amount of the conversation to understand what they were talking about. She leaned against a desk and continued listening.
He replied to Jax. "Yes. According to her, the voice was fairly young and feminine, around 19-21 - so it's been a couple of years since they dropped out. I'm just amazed that they managed to access the Academy."
He allowed the students to converse while he wrote something on the board: "Next step: Find the killer's identity.". Then he looked back at them. "Who wants to remain on the investigation and isn't getting bored? If you are one of those people, then I task you with doing a bit of research. Now, you don't have to just vigorously look through files. I remember that the Academy has a secret database. One quick search and we should have the killer in the headlights."
She sighed, and got out of her seat. She stood straight and gestured to the board. "I volunteer. It's not like I'll be able to do anything while the hopsital is still monitoring my recovery anyway. Research is probably the most harmless thing."
