Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
It was after class, and he asked to speak to Selene about some piece of homework. He waited for the people to leave before closing the door, shutting the blinds.

SeleneNWB
Selene Nightluck
NOticing how it was something serious, she arched her signature haughty eyebrow, "Before you even get to ask," she paused for a second, "The baby is fine. I haven't drunk any alcohol lately, I promise."

Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
He rubbed a hand over his face before giving her a soft smile, "I wasn't going to ask," he replied before moving his hand to move through his hair. He needed a hair cut. "You're keeping it, aren't you?"

SeleneNWB
Selene Nightluck
She got closer to him and placed her hands softly on his chest, "We're keeping it. By the time it is born, I'll already be graduated and we can raise the baby together. That is what you want, right?"

Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
"Are you sure that's what you want?" He asked, stepping back, placing his arms in the pockets of his jeans, "because if you want a normal life I won't stop you. I get it, I get I might be a one night stand that you suddenly have a connection with. A living connection. I don't want to be someone who wants every string attached to you."

SeleneNWB
Selene Nightluck
His wording fazed her, as she'd used the same words to describe him yesterday. She didn't make any gesture or expression to show, this though, but she took a mental note to be wary, "Of course I want that. You know I want to be with you," she then took her hands off him and avoided his gaze, "Unless it's not what you want, of course."

Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
"I don't know," he replied, "I think the party life is something that draws me back once more. The lack of strings. Sounds-" He stopped himself. He was being petty. "My point is, you flirted with Deneris. Heavily. So I'm saying if you want to be with him, that's fine. I don't want to tie you down." He was being sincere.

SeleneNWB
Selene Nightluck
She blinked twice and wanted to burst ito laughter, but contained herself from doing so, as she knew it'd be rude to do that to Chris when he was being so honest with her. "Oh my gosh, Chris. I do not like Deneris. Sure, he's attractive and an actually really good person to be rich, but I'm just not drawn into him like I am into you. Yes, I flirted, but he's always been flirty with me. It's a sort of inside joke. If it makes you uncomfortable, then I can always tell him to stop and I will, too. But you have to understand that I have always been very flirtatious. It doesn't mean that I'm into anyone, it's just how I can get to be."

Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
"Someone sent me a recording, Selene," he whispered after a moment of processing her words, "I don't know if it was Jackson or someone else. But someone knows."

SeleneNWB
Selene Nightluck
She knitted her brows, "How can you not know who sent it? Is it encripted or what?"

Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
"It was sent anonymously and...I'm an English teacher, not a...hacker," he protested, displaying his palms.

SeleneNWB
Selene Nightluck
"Is there any chance either Christina or Charlotte sent it to you as some sort of prank?" Selene offered, taking his hands in her own.

Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
"Well, maybe, I doubt it," he breathed out, looking at the hands, "Charlie's god knows where and Christie's spending her time looking for her. Doubt either of them would have the motivation to do that."

SeleneNWB
Selene Nightluck
Selene shook her head, "This doesn't make any sense. We've been very careful. Specially since the baby... I know I haven't told anyone yet, but, have you?"

Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
"No, no, I haven't," he replied, "I mean, you talked briefly about me yesterday? Someone could have put two and two together."

SeleneNWB
Selene Nightluck
"I only mentioned your age," she recalled. "And even then, I was modestly vague about it."

Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
"Either way, it's out," he said, taking a deep breath.

SeleneNWB
Selene Nightluck
"Yeah, but what is there to do about it, anyway?"

Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
"I don't know," he breathed out, "I guess they were trying to make me think you were cheating on me."

SeleneNWB
Selene Nightluck
"Well, if they haven't said anything yet, does that mean that their intentions are innocent?"

Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
"I don't know," he said, his shoulders sagging, "I just don't know. Do you know anyone who would do it?"

SeleneNWB
Selene Nightluck
She thought about it for a second, and immediately, her mind came to Alexander, "What about Alexander? That little manwhore has contacts everywhere, and he was yesterday at the café where I was talking to Jax."

Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
"Which Alexander?" He asked, scratching his chin.

SeleneNWB
Selene Nightluck
"Alexander Martini. Or Martello. Something along those lines. Either way, he's the guy that seduced Harry and made him sleep with him."

Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
"Oh, Martell," he recited and decided not to comment his own opinion on the kid, lest an argument would probably ensue. "I thought you were over Harry?"

SeleneNWB
Selene Nightluck
"Over Harry, yes. Over the kid that ruined it, no, I'm sorry. It seems that now he wants to ruin us so shouldn't you be supporting me on this?"

Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
He was silent for a moment. He was a teacher and he was about to be dragged back into high school drama. "Of course I do," he replied, "of course I support you."

SeleneNWB
Selene Nightluck
"Can you threaten him or something to come clean or fail him in English?" SHe asked. She knew he'd answer her that it was a no. And she knew he'd know she knew this, but asked anyway.

Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
"I can't fail him, he's not doing that bad in class, I mean, he's not the best either but...I can't fail him for being average," he said, "maybe we should wait. Wait until he does something else."

SeleneNWB
Selene Nightluck
"Such a good idea. Let's wait until he blackmails us into paying him weekly so he doesn't tell the principal to finally act."

Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
"Yes but it could not be him," he argued, "it could be someone else. We don't have proof."

SeleneNWB
Selene Nightluck
She sighed, "That's true..." She stopped to think, "We're powerless. How are we supposed to just stand here and not do a thing?"

Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
"We take care," he replied, "we make sure we're rarely seen together and when we do, we make sure we have an alibi. If they're handing us in, then we need to make sure evidence is on our side."

SeleneNWB
Selene Nightluck
She nodded, "Of course. For how long will we have to go through this avoid-each other hiatus?"

Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
"I don't know, day by day."

SeleneNWB
Selene Nightluck
"So no specific date? I don't want us to fall out in the upcoming months before the birth. I don't want to go alone to the ultrasounds."

Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
"Of course not," he snapped, flushing, "we just need to be careful we're not seen together. If they have a video of us together at an ultrasound?"

SeleneNWB
Selene Nightluck
"But how will we ever know if we are being recorded?" She shrugged. There would always be a risk.

Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
He sighed, "I know," he replied, "just...maybe we should go to a place that doesn't exactly take many people from around here."

SeleneNWB
Selene Nightluck
"So what, we should visit a sketchy neighbourhood's witch doctor every month to see if our baby is fine?"

Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
He grinned, "no, I'm suggesting Earth."

SeleneNWB
Selene Nightluck
She made a slightly surprised page, "Well, that could work. My parent's gynecologist still lives in Kiev, and he is a really trusted doctor for us. I could contact him."

Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
He tilted his head, "would he mention me?" He asked, "if so...then I say go for it."

SeleneNWB
Selene Nightluck
"He is not an elemental, so for all he cares, I'm just a case of late teenage pregnancy."

Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
His lips tugged, "the horror, the horror," he replied, quoting a book.

SeleneNWB
Selene Nightluck
"So then, we go there? Because my next appointment should be in a week, so I need to have time to schedule it with him."

Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
He nodded once, "it's most likely the best option," he replied, "and it's private? No calling your parents up? I know most places down there have a policy of privacy."

SeleneNWB
Selene Nightluck
"It is private. He won't tell my parents, and if he's pushy, then we can sign a confidentiality agreement for a little extra money," she winked at him.

Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
"Good thing we're loaded, well you are," he amended himself, frowning.

SeleneNWB
Selene Nightluck
"Meh," she shrugged, "I don't feel any unnecessary pride in receiving the taxes of the workers of elementrium."

OOC: Charlie :(

Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
"True," he replied.

SeleneNWB
Selene Nightluck
"Still, I consider myself lucky, because if I weren't this wealthy, maybe we'd be risking our baby's life."

Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
"Being a royal does have its perks," he conceded, "I am sorry, for jumping to conclusions."

SeleneNWB
Selene Nightluck
"Don't be. I am really shallow in other aspects, so it'd only make sense I'm shallow when it comes to money, too," she also conceded and shrugged, understanding where CHris was coming from.

Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
"No, no, about Jackson," he replied, "about the recording."

SeleneNWB
Selene Nightluck
"Oh," she started, but then continued, having actually been offended by that act of his, "Still, you met me and thought I was a slut, so that makes sense, too." But this time, she didn't actually mean it, and she turned around to avoid her boyfriend's gaze.

Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
"I didn't think you were a...why on Earth would I think that?" He asked, baffled, "Jesus, Selene, I worshipped you when I met you. I still do."

SeleneNWB
Selene Nightluck
She rubbed her arm and laughed nervously, "Sure, that must be why you avoided me so much and told me that you thought I was just going through a "hot for teacher" phase."

Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
"Sue me, I have insecurities," he replied with a lopsided grin, "and I spent so long trying to live by the rules after being the one to make them, you know? I had a moral dilemma when I met you but...I was just insecure."

SeleneNWB
Selene Nightluck
"Oh please." She finally managed to look him in the eyes, "I get you're insecure and couldn't believe thst I like you. But don't lie to me and say you 'worshipped me' like I was a good person. Look st me in the eyes and tell me you didn't think I was what everybody claimed: the easy and sleazy duchess."

Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
He met her eyes, "I'm not someone to listen to meaningless gossip," he said as honestly as he could. "I judge people on what I see."

SeleneNWB
Selene Nightluck
"And you saw me on a bar working as a part-time stripper. So yeah, I'm betting you judged me as a slut."

Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
"Don't push me into everyone else in the school, Selene, we've been through too much to start judging each other on stereotypes and rumours," he pressed, "I'm not your friends."

SeleneNWB
Selene Nightluck
Indignated, she turned around again, although this time, she hid a fresh tear behind her cheek, "I know you're not."

Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
"I never thought of you that way," he said, "never."

SeleneNWB
Selene Nightluck
She turned back to him and quickly brushed it away with her forearm, although her face was still serious and even a little daring, "Promise?"

Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
"Trust me, it pisses me off when I hear people talk about you," he growled, "only times I bend the whole not punish students for personal reasons."

SeleneNWB
Selene Nightluck
Although she knew it was wrong, this thought comforted here and in turn, she offered Chris a lopsided smile.

Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
"Though, I was probably in the right to punish them, considering their language," he mused.

SeleneNWB
Selene Nightluck
"I don't want to know what they said about me, then," her eye twitched the slightest bit before she blinked.

Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
"I'm not going to say," he replied, "but...I thought there was one thing I could rely on between us. Trust."

SeleneNWB
Selene Nightluck
"I do turst you but, well, just like you said, I have y insecurities, and the fact that I was in fact somewhat promiscuous before I met you did lead me to believe you thought that of me."

Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
"Maybe we should start new with each other, forget reputations."

SeleneNWB
Selene Nightluck
She sighed, nodding, before putting her head between her hands, "I want a Scotch really badly, but I can't. It is your fsult I developed a liking for it, so I blame this on you,@ She yawned.

Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
"I don't know how quickly it got around that I like Scotch," he replied, "do you know how many students somehow get their hands on a bottle to give me?"

SeleneNWB
Selene Nightluck
"Well, to be fair, you do mention in your ElementalBook profile that it is your favourite drink. That is how I found out, at least. And I suppose many students have tried to bribe you for grades?"

Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
His face darkened, "I knew I should have deleted that thing and, uh, no. It's mostly females. The men here try with money if they want to bribe me."

The Soignée Water Lily
She snickered, "And... do you take it?" She cocked her head to the side and smiled mischievously. "That could explain why the stash at your place grew so quickly,"

Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
"Ha! I don't need to stash anything. I bought the ones at home with my own money and don't think I keep any here."

SeleneNWB
Selene Nightluck
"Boo, you're boring," She sighed, "Well, is there anything else you wanna talk about as of right now?"

Chris9
Christopher Hathoway
"It was just the recording," he replied, "is there anyone we know that could track it down?"
