Meeting[]
She was in a clothes shop, a rip off of H&M if anyone asked her but, of course, no one knew what H&M was so, Charlie guessed the owners could get away with it. But, she supposed she shouldn't complain, it meant it was a lot easier for Charlie to get her hands on the clothes since her house arrest damaged her ability to go shopping in Earth. Or should she say academy arrest? She flicked a jumper across the rack, looking at the next one. She wore a pair of large sunglasses, trying to hide her face but she was slightly sad about it as she did a damn good job on her makeup. Oh well, she could show off her new red lipstick. |
Her ears pricked at the word and she glanced up to watch the little blonde and mentally cursed. Bloody hell, she thought no one would have those sunglasses. They were expensive and Earthy. She gave her a run down, her eyes unseen due to the said object before turning back to the rack, trying to ignore her. |
She glanced over again, with a raised eyebrow, "I agree, I don't think mother's would be too interested in a dress like that. Gives off way too much of the ass area. Breasts too. Unless your mother's a milf, of course," she mused, "are you sure you're in the right shop? This is more teenage clothing not maternal clothes." |
She smirked at the comment, "in a town like this? You get what you can," she replied with a one sided shrug before looking at the dress again, "you should buy it. It would suit you..." she trailed off as she looked Lux again, "much better than what you have on. You're an A cup, aren't you? Yeah, the dress should accentuate the body you have. Make it look bigger. The colour would bring out your eyes too." |
"Don't diss pant suits, some can actually pull it off. Though, you probably can't, you don't have that long legs," she mused, "and it's not like your mum's around the corner. Is she a teacher?" |
She looked at the girl before pulling the glasses off, taping them on the metal, with a soft smile, "sorry, I'm being rude, aren't I? I've been told I can be a little bit...blunt at times. And really...it's more like working with what you've got. I couldn't pull that dress off like you could. Why sulk about not being able to make a cake when you make killer pancakes." |
She eyed her, "you certainly care about the opinion of your mother," she pointed out, rather dryly. On one hand she could relate, because if her mother ordered her to do something, she'd probably do it herself but on the other hand...no. |
"What do you think I'm doing here?" She asked, raising an eyebrow, "I was here before you, remember? And I don't think I like anything on this rack, so...." she trailed off. "I'm Charlie, by the way." |
She scowled at her, not pleased that she was recognised. "Lux? Short for what? Luxury?" |
"Boring old Charlotte," she said with a shrug, "Charlie's more...interesting." |
She whithered slightly, "not when people only call you Charlotte when you've broken rules. Other variation would be 'lottie' and that's...just terrible. Plus there are a thousand charlottes in the academy but I am the only Charlie. Maybe it's different n Earth but isn't that common a nickname here." |
"I guess," she said, turning back to the clothes, "here, hold this," she said, dangling a piece of clothin in front of Lux. |
Se rolled her eyes, "no, I'm buying it for you," she said, "you'd look great in that. This too," she said, finding another piece of clothing and dangling it for her. |
She didn't look at Lux, continuing her search for clothes, moving from rack to rack, "i will tell you why I will be bying them. You see, if you buy them, you will have no obliation or moral conscious to wear them but, since I spent money on them, you hopefully will wear them out of guilt. It works more for you than me, by the way. I don't gain anything so don't complain, just go with it." She found another piece, holding it out for her. "PLus, our mother can't punish you for something she doesn't know about. All of this goes on my card, she'll never know." |
"Because if I were to have any positive impact on this world, let it be on good fashion. Really, my sister's just as bad as you, maybe even worse, and she's frequently rebuffing me so please, let me vent my frustrations surrounding her on you." |
"Of course it is," she replied, taking out another piece before shoving it back in with a grimace, "so tell me about yourself. I'm assuming you're new?" She asked, looking over at her, trying to see if she recognized her. |
"I'm sure that is," she murmured, finding two more articles. She doubted that as all there is, but she wasn't going to pry. "It's a long name, though. Lux Anna Archibald, I'm going to call you Lala." |
"Lala use to be my favourite tellie tubby, you know? When I was a kid," she commented before glancing at the dress, "you think? Well, it's cute," she conceded offering it out to her again. "How are you with shoes?" |
"Nothing else? Seriously, I'm not worried about it. By the whole store if you want, won't make a dent," she replied, gesturing around her, with a touch of irony. |
