Aspen and Grace (12/3/17)

Grace Bridgewater-Edan Grace stayed true to her word. She decided to walk back to her dorm room from the cafeteria.

Aspen Starker Aspen left the cafeteria and followed Grace, hoping she would wander into a deserted corridor.

Grace Bridgewater-Edan Grace remembered that there was a quick route to Dorm 1. She decided to use the secret passage, which not many people knew of.

Aspen Starker A secret passage... that was perfect. Aspen followed Grace through it, tiptoeing rather fast and speeding up her pace. Once she was right behind Grace, Aspen clasped her hand around her mouth and grabbed her wrist, feeling uncomfortable herself.

Grace Bridgewater-Edan Her body temperature decreased, as she realised what was happening. She wanted to speak or scream, but her body refused to let her.

Aspen Starker "Quiet. Answer a few questions and you'll be let off. Lie and your life will end there and then." It was a little hard to keep Grace restrained, but Aspen's strength overpowered hers.

Grace Bridgewater-Edan Grace gulped, but she decided to obey and be submissive. Aspen was now the leader.

Aspen Starker "Call for help and I'll slit your throat." This was an empty threat, because Aspen wasn't armed at all. Besides, she wasn't very fond of killing people. "What is your association with Victoria Edan?"

Grace Bridgewater-Edan "I'm her cousin. And I was forced to be her spy." Grace replied, telling the truth.

Aspen Starker Forced? This was news to her. Still, Grace could be lying. "Do you really think I'll believe that?"

Grace Bridgewater-Edan She pulled down her sleeve with her remaining hand. "This is my proof. She did this to me when she kidnapped me." She showed Aspen a deep scar. "Even my boyfriend and my half-brother doesn't know about this."

Aspen Starker Aspen raised an eyebrow. She decided that Grace was telling the truth, but that didn't mean Aspen was going to put all her faith in her. "If you're against Victoria, tell me what you know about her masterplan.

Grace Bridgewater-Edan "Very well. She doesn't plan on just taking over the Fire Kingdom throne, she intends on taking over all of Elementrium. She wants her brother, Liam, dead because he's the heir apparent. As of Layton, I think it's because of personal reasons. That I don't know much about. I'm telling you the truth, even though it's risky."

Aspen Starker Aspen loosened her grip on Grace just a bit. "Are either of them aware of Victoria's plans? And who else attending the Academy is a follower of her?"

Grace Bridgewater-Edan She realised that it was time to defend herself. "I'm not a follower of Victoria, I'm only pretending to be. Me and my half-brother are working on a secret plan to decrease her influence and eventually stop her."

Aspen Starker "And what might that be?" Aspen knew this wasn't enough evidence to try Victoria for treason. Even so, as long as she was alive, be it in prison or free, her influence would live, and that was bad. "Your half-brother is...?"

Grace Bridgewater-Edan "I'm only pretending to be a spy. I'm actually sending information to the opposing faction, one of the members being Anneline Edan. My half-brother is Seojun Edan."

Aspen Starker "Anneline Edan... I see." Aspen let go of Grace. "Grace Edan, was it? Do you know the current whereabouts of Liam Edan?"

Grace Bridgewater-Edan "He was last seen in Athens. I assume he may still be there."

Aspen Starker Aspen had gotten the intel she required. She promptly began walking to the direction she had come from. "You're an Edan. If you notify him, he should believe you. If he is aware of Victoria's plans, he will be cautious. If he is cautious, there's a chance the assassination attempt will fail. If it fails, Victoria will be exposed. If she is exposed, she will fall." Aspen was nearly back at the entrance.

Grace Bridgewater-Edan "Alright. I'll try and get in contact with him. May I ask one question?"

Aspen Starker Aspen paused, still not facing Grace. "What is it?"

Grace Bridgewater-Edan "How come you are interested in Victoria?"

Aspen Starker Aspen pondered for a moment. She decided to keep it vague. "Ever since... Ever since a certain incident, my job has been to keep peace and balance between the Elementrian Kingdoms. As Victoria is planning to destroy that balance, I must eliminate her." Aspen wasn't aware that her wording made it sound like she wanted Victoria dead. She just wanted to make sure Victoria wouldn't take over the world.

Grace Bridgewater-Edan "I see. You're a vigilante? Well, just note that I have no harmful intentions. Unlike many of my family members, I genuinely care about the Fire Kingdom."

Aspen Starker And I care about the Lunar Kingdom. Aspen didn't voice her thoughts. She said one last thing to Grace. "I would prefer that you not mention our encounter to anyone." On that note, she left.

Grace Bridgewater-Edan Grace watched Aspen leave, before walking to her dorm room.
