Kyle was born on September 30th, three years before his sister Courtly Jopan. Kyle was unusually silent throughout much of his childhood. A strange boy that roamed the palace and watched his parents be the "perfect" leaders.
Quiet, observant, and obedient, Kyle was the perfect child a parent could ever ask for.
Although, when his sister came along, he took it upon himself to tell her the "truth".
Kyle was a large influence on his sister as he was the elder of the two, living life throughout the Airia's Palace was very boring, and he often sneaked out to climb on the roof and gaze at the stars.
At age 8, Kyle had well acquainted knowledge of the fact he was a Tri-Elemental and had been practicing by himself in closed off hidden spaces of the castle. As he practiced, he became better and started using them to his advantage, during speeches, he'd become transparent and disappear off to somewhere else, and then come back at the time they finished.
When Kyle learned the dangers of being able to control more then one element, he quickly took caution and began to isolate himself even more from the world. He barely talked, never spoke unless being spoken too, afraid he would be caught. His parents overlooked this, too busy in their "ordeals" to even pay attention to their own son, but Courtly noticed. She noticed, a lot. Around the age of 10, Courtly started asking way too many questions.
"What's wrong? Kyle, answer me," she'd ask.
"Nothing," was all she got.
"You're lying," she would try again.
"Maybe," he said.
"Kyle!" Courtly would scream in frustration.
"There's nothing wrong," Kyle would say, in a blank tone.
"Ugh," and that's when he knew she'd finally given up.
After a certain point in time, his sister had enough.
"Tell me what's wrong Kyle! I just want to help!"
"There is nothing wrong! Why the hell can you just live with it?!"
"Because I want to help you!"
"Help me with what?! There is nothing to help me with!"
"It's obvious you have some type of problem, you act so weird these past years, too silent, too distant."
"I'm fine, I do not have any type of problem, and why the hell can you just leave me alone?!"
Tears came to Courtly's eyes as she heard this, "Be-Because I'm your sister, and I love you, but this doesn't matter either anyway. Does it?"
He didn't respond. "Does it?!" she shouted. Kyle glanced at her, his anger and frustration evaporated. This was his sister, his younger sister, who didn't know anything about the cruel world, and the lies their parents told them, and the corrupted royalty, she was just as innocent as infant.
"It does."
Although, still very distant from his family, decided to spend more time with his sister. Quickly, this strengthened their bond and they became inseparable. They had each others backs', and Kyle would often secretly use his other powers to assist her in times of need, up to the point where it became necessary she knew.
Kyle knocked on her bedroom door quietly. "Who-" Courtly faltered when she heard the quiet knock. Kyle.
"Come in."
He opened the door and closed it, then sat on her bed. A large king sized bed with a cloud canopy hanging over it, blue covers, and fluffy white pillows. Before she could ask what's wrong, he confessed. Courtly listened in tranquility, not daring to interrupt, even once. After he finished, she started to talk.
"So, how long have you been keeping this from me?"
"...Several years..."
"Kyle!" she yelled hitting his arm.
"I... I-I was just nervous, y'know... Since they're is the possibility I could be taken away the The Maze Prison."
"I know, but you need to tell me these things so I can help."
"I don't think you can help."
"Why are you so pessimistic?"
"Am not!"
"Are to!"
"Am not!"
"Are to!"
Both of them collapsed in a fit of laughter, and for the rest of the afternoon, they sat there talking.
Meanwhile, a servant had overheard this. This servant's name was Artouk Eroiym II. Artouk had been keeping a close eye on Kyle ever since he was 8, having the close suspicion he was Bi-Elemental. But to him, this was even better! He could turn the prince in, and he'd get a reward, so much money, he'd be able to pay his way out of this miserable place, for you see, Artouk had been in debt in the kingdom, and to pay off his debt, he'd do various jobs to get money, but he had been struggling these past months, so this was the perfect break through.
Three years later, Artouk had finally pulled it off. When Kyle was 13, a horrid thing happened.
Soldiers broke down the doors, crashed through windows, and surrounded the Royal Family who had been eating breakfast that morning. "Where is the Tri-Elemental?!" A soldier cried, probably the commander. "What? Officer, I assure you, they're no Tri-Elementals here," Kyle's father reasoned.
"Liar! He's right there!" Artouk yelled, coming from behind some soldiers. "Artouk? What is the meaning of this?" his mother questioned. "I am done being a servant. Your boy there is my ticket out of here, now, Your Highness, no one will get hurt if you just hand him over."
"But-"
"That was not an option. Hand. Him. Over."
One of the soldiers grabbed Courtly and put a gun to her head, she screamed. "Hand him over, or the girl dies." Reluctantly, the king hangs his head low as he says this, "Ta-Take him away."
As he was dragged away, Courtly had been released and didn't hesitate to take full rage on her parents. "Why would you do that?! You just let him be taken away? He's part of the family, what type of parents are you? All you care about is your status, you don't have feelings at all!" she screamed, tears streaming down her cheeks.
"Courtly, we couldn't let them-"
"You're the King and Queen, why couldn't you do anything? Why didn't you try?! He was right! You don't care about us at all!"
Since then, he's been stuck in the maze.
Five Years later he was rescued and brought to the academy.
But something drastic happened there too. As the school year moved on, he had faced more betrayal from Sasha and on top would be the most heartbreaking attack to his family, ever.
The Omnia had declared that Bi and Tri-Elementals could no longer be royals, therefore, Kyle's rank no longer mattered. He wasn't considered royaltly. When he recieved the news, he stayed locked up in his dorm for a few weeks, finally convinced by his sister he came out. Later, he was given over to the "Columbia"s for adoption.
