It was a windy and chilly day in the middle of February when Rikimaru Masami's water broke, as she started going into labour with her second child. Her husband, Akihiro and her son, Akihiko helped transport a very pregnant and in pain Masami to the hospital. About twelve hours later, a beautiful baby girl popped out. Because of this beauty, they decided to name the baby Michiko.
Soon, the Rikimaru family developed into a picture-perfect family, with a mother, father, son and daughter. However, when Michiko was seven years old, the family moved into the bustling city off Yokohama, a huge change from when the Rikimaru family lived out on the countryside.
Overtime, Michiko noticed that there was several differences between the countryside and the city. First of all, the city was larger, and much easier to get lost in the big city. There was also a large difference between the top of people that lived in the city compared to the countryside. Most people were more impatient and had short tempers, unlike people from the farm. But, her father had a stable job, and her life was normal. At least, until she was 11.
It was a warm summer evening, and Michiko was walking home from school with her brother at her side. The two children entered their apartment, noticing that their parents were not in the apartment, which was rather strange, since their father worked from home. However, all of their questions were answered once they looked onto the balcony.
Both of their parents were cornered by two teenagers from a gang, who had climbed up the side of the apartment building. Soon enough, a few gunshots went off, and right in front of the children's eyes, their parents were shot. The children were in major shock, and Michiko screamed out, shattering every window pane in the living room and balcony as she started to sob.
Eventually, social workers were called in, and unfortunately the two children were separated, with Michiko being sent to the Elemental Dimension to start her studies at the Elemental Academy.
Still in grief, Michiko kept quiet in her first two years at the Academy. She was broken and scared, her parents gone and separated from her brother, the grief lingering. During her second year, she made a vow, one that should we keep - Michiko would go back to Japan to try and find her brother. However, that summer ended up turning into the fight for her life.
Michiko went back to the ruined apartment in Yokohama, in an attempt to search out for her brother. However, as soon as Michiko stepped into the apartment, she was kidnapped by the same two members of the gang that had killed her parents.
For thirty days, Michiko was held in the custody of the gang, being mentally and physical pushed to the brink from the pain she experienced, knowing that her quest for her brother was going to be futile. However, on the thirtieth night, Michiko made her escape, using the one advantage she had over the kidnappers - her powers.
She used her lunar powers to undo her bonds, and her Air Powers to elevate her to the rooftop before the gang noticed. However, instead of retreating this night, Michiko fought them off with her powers, and eventually killed one of the teenagers that had murdered. Fuelling her bloodlust, Michiko went on a rampage, and took out over 20 members of the gang, including both teenagers who killed her parents, avenging their deaths.
At this moment, Michiko felt something awaking inside of her, making her feeling like she could do anything she set her mind to, causing her to shift from someone weak into someone strong, determined, and an amazing fighter.
Michiko successfully escaped, and went back to the Elemental Academy, about to start her third year when she sees her brother at the academy. The two siblings embraced, and as Michiko recounted her summer in hell, her brother gifted her with the family heirloom sword, saying that through her bravery, she earned the sword through her courage.
And since then, the Academy has a different Rikimaru Michiko - one that's tough as hell, calmer and more determined then ever to be stronger and better.
