Sora Tezuka was born on the normal night of October 30th, besides the fact that it was a day before Halloween. At this time, you'd think that Sora's parents would be out buying candy, or putting the finishing touches on their Halloween decorations, but Sora's parents were rooted in Japan's core. They were not the "Imported from Western Civilization and still celebrate Western Halloween" type. They had this desperate need to blend in, as her mom, who was American, took three year courses in Japanese just to make it seem like she wasn't totally naive and new to Japanese culture.
Funny thing was, a year after they moved, Sora's existence came to attention. Her mother had no idea was several months pregnant until August, which gave them almost no time to prepare for the child. Octavia's husband, Ryota, was surprisingly way more excited for the child than Octavia who was not at all prepared to have a child. When Sora was born on the night before Halloween, the only thing Octavia felt was relief. At least the birth had gone well.
As Sora grew, it was obvious she was very different from other kids her age. She like nature, but it was hard to find that in the crowded city of Tokyo. She preferred to shut herself indoors and watch anime then interact with anyone besides her parents and her schoolmates, and even then, interaction was limited. Her parents had sent her to an international school so she would be around kids of other ethnicities and cultures. She was a quick learner and Japanese and English down when she was six.
Her parents encouraged her to pick up other languages as well, so she tried Mandarin, Korean, Dutch, and Portuguese. She later dropped all of them several years later, but still remembers most of what she's learned.
Finally when her parents got tired of her roaming their house like a ghost, they set her up for Taekwondo and Karate at age 11. Her parents made her do it for social reasons, but she found it as good fighting practice and that's exactly what she used it for.
As puberty struck she became more out there, but not in the way her parents wanted her to. She began fighting older kids and joined her school's karate club purposely for the intent of being able to scare the younger students. She became defiant and rebellious, and despite her intellect focused more on her fists then her head.
Her parents who were air elementals finally decided it was time to bring Sora to the Academy, so when she turned 13 they moved to Elementrium, and she ended up attending school three months late. The next three years have been of no difference to Sora besides the fact that she was no longer limited to a uniform. She has kept to herself and has made no attempt to befriend anyone because she could really care less.
