He twirled a pencil in the air out of simple boredom, the teacher was droning on and he wished he would shut up and let him sleep. He sighed, finally beginning to doodle on the blank page below him. It was meant to be filled with notes.
Although he knew he should be paying attention, Braxton started to get bored of class. He decided he'd take the notes from someone else later. He looked around the classroom and found one other person ignoring the teacher, and he was sitting right in front of Braxton. Braxton decided to lightly nudge his chair with his foot.
"I'm bored," started Braxton with a light voice, loud enough for the other to hear but quiet enough for the rest of the class to ignore. "I can see you're bored as well. I nudged your chair to not bore myself."
His brow descended back to meet with the other, "I see. I don't exactly see how nudging a chair can make you less bored," he pointed out, "I'm Xavier if that's anything." He looked him over. "Are you new?"
"Nudging a chair means you turn around and, well, I'm not that bored anymore. Braxton Ivenmeyer, by the way." He introduced himself. "And I'm not really new. My class schedule for this year is much different from last year's, though. Probably never met you because of that."
He raised an eyebrow, "if we're introducing last names. I'm Xavier Woods," he said, as if it should mean something–god knows so many people know it. "Would have thought I'd see you at a party if you weren't new. Guess you don't party that much. Or at least not in the ones that matters." He didn't say it in a way that it was a dig, mor in an observation.
"Woods..." Braxton tried recalling the name. "Ah, the Solar duke?" Braxton shrugged. "I do believe we just haven't bumped into each other much." He glanced at the teacher who still didn't notice them talking.
"This is so annoying," grumbled Braxton. "What's the point learning what you already know? I'm already good at using and controlling my powers; I don't need to learn bullcrap from this guy." There were three minutes left, now.
He was sitting in the lunch area with one other person, which was Jax. There was one extra chair beside them. As Xavier thought when he heard the invitation from Braxton, why would he move when he already had a designated table?
As he made his way to lunch, he assumed Xavier had declined his invitation and was planning on sitting with his other clique, until he noticed Xavier at a table with someone else. He walked over to them. "Ah, there you are. Mind if I sit?"
He gave Xavier a sharp look, "everyone's always welcome, unless you want to cause some sort of trouble," he said looking back at Braxton, "then you're banned for a couple of weeks. Did I get your name, by the way?"
